How it works
Getting across the island can mean guessing at a fare until the meter stops. Rides puts the price first: set the pickup and the drop-off, say how many people are travelling, and the fare comes straight off the official SXM tariff grid. It is the same number every taxi already charges, just visible before you step in.
- Share your location to set the pickup point.
- Choose the drop-off and how many passengers are travelling.
- Sign in to see the fare, straight off the official SXM grid.
- Request the ride and follow it from its own tab.
- Find your receipt in its own tab afterwards.
What you can do
- The fare comes from the published grid, not an estimate, so there is no surge pricing and nothing to negotiate once you land.
- The currency switches automatically with the side of the island you leave from.
- Your location only sets the pickup point; nothing is stored beyond the ride.
- Because every taxi uses the same grid, Rides works as well on your first day on the island as on your hundredth.

The booking form is real. The fare and the ride itself need an account, and during the beta the app runs rides as a simulation, as it says on screen: no driver is dispatched and nothing is charged.
