For you, that is the Caribbein app for island life. For the businesses you book, it is free software to run their day. We are a Caribbean company based in Saint-Martin (97150), French West Indies: not a Silicon Valley company doing Caribbean tourism, a Caribbean company doing its own software.

No. Locals booking locals comes first: a ride, a plumber, a class, a table, a fifth player for tonight’s game. The taxi driver filling an empty seat for a neighbour. The yoga instructor picking up students on the next island over.

Visitors use the same app, and find what is genuinely around them instead of the same four sponsored results. Tourism is welcome fuel. The island is the point.

There is nothing to download from an app store. Caribbein is a web app: it runs in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen like any other app.

To fund operations, we sell anonymised, aggregated insight: location patterns, activity types, demographics. That boundary is written into the terms of use, where you can hold us to it. Read the privacy policy.

Yes. Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, and withdraw your consent at any time.

The open seats are on the Careers page, with what each one is, where it is based and how to apply. We only list seats that are really open, and we hire slowly and on purpose.

Depending on the role, product, engineering, operations or design: you work on the app, on the free tools we give every local business, or on the day-to-day running of one island.

The loop is the same either way: talk to the people who use it, find out what they need, and ship what makes their week easier.

• No engagement treadmill. The measure is whether a provider earned more and worked less, not time on screen.
