Yes. Every provider on every island can run their entire operation on Caribbein without paying a subscription, a setup fee, or a per-seat charge. Every feature, for every provider: there are no paid tiers.

We earn only when we bring you business, a booking the marketplace originated. A provider who fills their own calendar pays Caribbein nothing, forever.

A flat 10%, only on bookings we bring you. The same rate for every provider: activities and tours, villas and lodging, wellness, beauty, venues, charter, transport, services, trades, events, instructors and professional services.

There are three named exceptions where a percentage of the transaction is the wrong tool: restaurants, taxis, and institutions. They are answered below, in full. There are no others, and there are no private rates. What you pay is what the business next door pays.

A booking the Caribbein marketplace produced. Commission never applies to:

• walk-ins
• telephone bookings you took yourself
• bookings from your own website, including through an embedded Caribbein widget
• repeat customers who come back to you directly
• bookings you brought from any other channel

This line is deliberately generous. It is what makes the model fair.

Either. It is set per provider: the commission can be added on top of the guest’s price, or deducted from your payout. Tell us which suits your business when you claim your listing.

You pay nothing to use it, €2 when we bring you a diner, never more than 5% of the check, never more than €150 in a month, and nothing at all for a guest who finds you on their own.

On real numbers: a restaurant taking 150 covers a month from Caribbein at a €45 average check would pay TheFork about €589 and OpenTable Core about $449. With us it pays €150, because the cap binds at 75 covers. At 300 covers TheFork is about €1,039 and we are still €150. Their bill grows with your success; ours stops.

Why the 5% cap: a flat €2 would be 13% of a €15 lolo plate and 1.7% of a €120 fine-dining cover. Without the cap, the smallest kitchens on the island would pay the highest rate. With it, no restaurant on any island ever pays Caribbein more than 5% of a check.

Nothing. No subscription and no commission. Taxi fares are regulated fixed rates on the islands we start with, so a driver cannot raise the fare to absorb a percentage. Taking one would come straight out of a regulated income, so we don’t.

The fare reaches you whole. The platform is paid by the person who chose to use it: a small flat fee paid by the passenger, published island by island.

Nothing. No commission, no subscription, no cap. Schools (primary, secondary, tertiary and sports schools), museums, heritage institutions, archives, libraries, and sports club and league registrations are community infrastructure, not commercial operations. Taking a percentage of a child’s club registration would be indefensible on a platform whose give-back funds those same clubs.

The line is institution versus commercial operation, not the sector:

One organisation can sit on both sides: a museum charges nothing on entry, and the flat 10% applies to a ticketed gala it runs, when we bring the booking. That is intended.

20% of every commission, from day one, funds local projects islanders vote on. It is ring-fenced before anything else, tracked quarterly and published every year.

On the exceptions, the 20% applies to what is actually collected: €30 of a capped €150 restaurant month, a fifth of the passenger fee on a taxi trip, and nothing on an institution, which pays nothing.

Three steps:

• Claim it. Find your business on the marketplace and ask to claim it.
• Take the call. We verify it is really you with a short call to the phone number shown on your listing.
• Connect payouts. Link your account so paid bookings can reach you once payments open.

Start by joining the public beta. The claim page itself is at app.caribbein.fr/claim.

Payouts run through Stripe, with local processors added island by island.

During the beta, guests settle directly with you, the way they do today. Paying through Caribbein opens as the beta progresses, and we will tell you before it switches on for your listing.

Leave when you want. No lock-in, no hostage data. The tools are free, so there is nothing to cancel, and a provider who stops taking bookings through us simply stops paying commission.
