Caribbein — Milestones
Promises, with receipts.
Everything we have said we would do, with the date we said it — kept, underway, or still a promise. Entries are never quietly deleted: a promise that slips stays on this page with both dates. That rule is what makes the green ones worth something.
Counted —, from milestones-facts.json — re-probed at every update, never copied forward.
Kept
Done, dated, verifiable.
The catalogue
— providers across — islands, built venue by venue — tourism sources first, never a scrape. How, in detail; re-derive the count yourself with probe.mjs.
The first OS crossed to the new shell
The charter operating system was rebuilt on the shared platform — the first of —, proving the shell before the fleet follows. The full story: the rewrite post-mortem.
The estate documented itself in public
/geek, /engineering, /questions, /join — architecture, post-mortems, salaries with floors, and this page. Numbers probed and dated everywhere, so you can hold us to all of it.
Underway
Started, not finished, said out loud anyway.
The replatform: one across, eighteen to go
Every operating system moves to the shared shell, one lane at a time, while the current platform keeps serving. The counter at the top of this page is the honest score.
The Founding Round
The crowdfunding round is public — targets, rewards and progress live on the round page, not here, so there is one source of truth. One thing worth repeating from it: every euro raised is co-financing that can pull European money in behind it.
The European build dossier (FEDER)
A regional-development application through the Collectivité's European-funds service, for the build itself: platform development, compliance integrations, security audits, and digital training for providers — up to €900,000 of eligible costs, co-financed at European rates (a majority of eligible costs; the exact rate is being confirmed).
How this kind of money actually works, because it is widely misunderstood: nothing is granted until it is granted, the application must be filed before the spending starts, and Europe reimburses in arrears — against invoices, after delivery. A grant is a refund for work proven done, never an advance.
The European team dossier (FSE+), and the rest of the stack
A parallel Social-Fund application would co-finance the first salaries — the seats on /join. Around the two European dossiers sit smaller instruments: an honour loan, public seed-lending, and training envelopes that let juniors learn on someone else's budget. The governing rule of the whole stack: one euro of cost is funded once — different instruments onto different costs, never two onto the same euro.
Promised
Each entry carries the date we promised it. If one slips, it stays here with both dates — that is the deal.
The beta opens
Open beta, Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten, Anguilla and Saint-Barthélemy first: discovery and concierge, payments deliberately not yet. The honest scope is on /questions — and the day it opens, this entry moves up to Kept.
The Games open
Island competition, in the app. Tournament brackets for real island sport are the first shape.
Payments move online
Card rails arrive after the beta proves the concierge flow. Until then, you settle directly with the provider — stated on every page that touches money.
The member counter goes public on this page
Once the beta's first cohort is in, the member count joins the counters above — dated, probed, small numbers and all. Watching a real number grow from nearly zero is the most honest chart we can offer.
The first two seats get filled
A co-founder CTO and the Saint-Martin branch GM — both on /join with their salary floors printed. Timing follows the funding, and we would rather say that than pretend.
Two new branches open: Saint-Barthélemy and Anguilla
Not just marketplace coverage — real local branches with on-island GMs, launched in the same window so the playbook gets two datasets at once. Each opens within 90 days of its go-decision; the go-decision waits on funding and on finding the right person, in that order of honesty. The vision underneath: a branch per island, run by its island — the catalogue keeps filling in the meantime, island by island.
Thirty islands, thirty palettes
Every destination in the brand system carries its own triad, drawn from its flag and its identity — resolved across the whole lineup so no two islands wear the same face. The starred entries are the launch islands — Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten share one of them. This is the map of the ambition, in colour.
How this page works
Kept means done and dated. Underway means started and said out loud. Promised means the date we gave is printed next to it. Entries are never deleted; a slipped promise keeps both dates. Counters load from a dated facts file and are re-probed at every update.
On the European dossiers, one discipline above all: we describe applications, never awards. Nothing on this page means public money has been granted.
